Cross Forward was founded by David Smith in 2006. Originally it was run as a web consultancy business. In 2008, with the launch of the iPhone App Store, the business shifted towards making apps for Apple platforms.

Over the years David has made apps for a variety of markets. The most successful apps include Widgetsmith, Watchsmith, Pedometer++, and Sleep++.

He is the co-host a weekly podcast called Under the Radar discussing Apple related topics.

Stephen has a long background in Apple technologies, working both as a commentator and an advisor. He joined Cross Forward in 2023 to drive broad improvements in the customer communication and marketing efforts.

He is also the co-host a several podcasts on the Relay FM network, where he is a co-founder.
